Wotwat — Account deletion

Fastest way — in the app: open Settings and tap “Delete account & data”. It deletes everything immediately, including the copies stored on your phone, and signs you out. No waiting.

Prefer to ask us instead? To delete your Wotwat account and all data linked to it:

1. Submit our contact form with the subject "Wotwat account deletion", from the email you used to sign in.
2. We verify the request came from the account owner's address and delete your data within 30 days.

What is deleted: your Google account info (name, email, picture), your votes, your saved cards, your reading history, your age status, and your seen-card list (the ids of cards you were shown, used only to avoid repeats).

Kept only on your phone: your player stats (streaks, daily goals) never leave your device, and neither does a guest's reading history — we hold no copy of those to delete. They are removed when you clear history or uninstall the app.

Retained: anonymous, aggregated vote counts on cards (e.g. "9 of 14 people called this fake") cannot be traced back to you and are kept.

Guest mode: guest data (any votes or saved cards you made) is keyed to a random device identifier — uninstalling the app orphans it permanently. We keep no seen-card list or reading history for guests at all.
