By using Wotwat (the "app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Wotwat is an entertainment game where people vote TRUE, FAKE or UNDECIDED on trending claims, take a side on opinion questions, and answer open questions, for fun and discussion. It is not a source of authoritative fact, news, legal, financial, medical or professional advice.
Wotwat does not decide what is true. After you vote, a card shows two things and neither is our judgement: how other players voted, and what published sources say — counted, attributed, and including where they disagree. Where a count includes a fact-checking organisation we name it. Those sources can themselves be wrong, so you should not treat anything in the app as established fact.
Some claims, questions and images in the app are generated or drafted by automated / AI systems from public sources and may contain errors, omissions or mischaracterisations. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of any card. Do not rely on the app to determine the truth about any person, company or event.
If you submit a tip, report or any content, you must not submit anything that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, infringing, or that invades another person's privacy. You confirm you have the right to submit it. User submissions are reviewed before they can appear and may be edited or rejected at our discretion; we are not obliged to publish anything. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use content you submit for operating and promoting the app.
You can report content you believe is objectionable from the card menu, and rights holders can file a legal takedown. We review reports and remove content that violates these terms or the law.
You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account and data at any time — see Account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. In regions that require it we ask for your consent first; you can change your choice from the app's privacy settings. See our Privacy Policy.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision you make in reliance on content in the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
